Everardo Acosta is a versatile multimedia artist with a strong foundation in cross-disciplinary collaboration, digital production, and traditional art practices. He studied at the American Academy of Art, where he earned an Associate Degree in Illustration in 1998. After leaving school, he focused on digital media and worked with multiple design studios, refining his digital craft and expanding his creative skill set. Driven by a growing passion for digital work, particularly 3D art, he returned to the American Academy of Art and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Design in 2001.
His artistic talent led him into the video game industry, where he began as an Environment Artist and advanced into leadership roles, including Art Direction. Everardo’s video game career spans 25 years, with contributions across the full development lifecycle—from early prototyping through full-scale production. His portfolio includes a wide range of titles, from fighting games to expansive open-world experiences, covering both original IPs and reimagined nostalgic franchises.
He has taught 3D classes at the College of Lake Forest and served as a visiting artist and speaker, sharing his industry experience with students and participating in alumni events.
After many years in digital media, Everardo felt drawn back to traditional art. He began sculpting again, creating work that ranged from small busts to full-body figures. He has also returned to oil painting, pursuing traditional work purely for the love of creation.
